Recenly "liberal american" likened RubDMC's Iraq War Grief Daily Witness to "Goya of Iraq".
| I like to think of these diaries as MLW's own but of course RubDMC's Daily Witness diaries started on DailyKos. They are numbered sequentially, now up to 364 as of this writing in the MLW version, and at DailyKos it's 582. They are subtle and powerful, respectful, not unlike a silent vigil. |

I don't want to be overly melodramatic, but this series to me exemplifies what's good about blogs in the long run, what inspires people years later, not mere words but also an experience. Day by day writing on some latest travesty moves us a lot while a series like this, a series of images, moves us a little but steadily to face the costs of war. We discuss what's on Rub's mind and what motivates him to write the Iraq War Grief Daily Witness.
It was interesting to get to talk to RubDMC and so I hope interesting to listen to. I like talking to interesting bloggers --- so if you have recommendations of people I should contact, please feel welcome to make them.
