Does this smell like a payoff or WHAT? I know, we're all shocked.
I guess the next time anyone talks about deficits, or some US program being axed by Bush, this might be good to bring up...
President Bush said Wednesday he will ask Congress for $100 million to help modernize the armed forces of Poland, a staunch ally in the war in Iraq -- a nearly 50 percent increase over last year.
During an Oval Office meeting with Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, Bush said he was confident that Congress would approve the money. The United States gave Poland $67 million in military aid last year.
